Dental Hygienist/ Therapist
Since working as a trainee dental nurse at the age of 18, I knew that Dental Hygiene was the path I wanted to take!
After 4 years of dental nursing, in 2009 I made the (difficult, but best) decision to move from my hometown in South Wales, to train as a
Dental Hygienist/Therapist at King’s College Hospital, London.
After 5 years of university, new friends, great experiences and meeting my husband Sean, London life has been replaced by a more settled, newly-married life in Swindon, with Sean having a long-term post at Brize Norton RAF base.
Being a Dental Hygienist/Therapist can be challenging at times but is an exciting and very satisfying carer. Knowing that you are helping to
have a positive impact on a patient’s dental attitude, oral health and seeing the difference a patient has made at home, is a great feeling.
We have a wonderful team here at Highworth Dental, where I feel I have settled in very well and been made to feel very welcome, something
which we strive for with all our patients.GDC Number 140193www.gdc-uk.org
